Pampered

I have a friend who is going through a REALLY rough stretch in her life right now!! A few of us got together and decided she needed a "girl's day", and what better day to accomplish this task than on her birthday!!

One of the "girl's" is a little eccentric, and interjected the idea of pedicures!! She knew a great place, (red flag)!! Well, I had never had one before, so I thought, why not.

We went to a place in Eagle, (red flag). Eagle is a very ritzy town. The more wealthy people tend to navigate this way. Anyways, we get there and while signing in, we are asked if we would like anything to drink. They gave you the option of soda, water, coffee, or hot chocolate. I was a bit cold, so I went for the hot chocolate. One of the "girls" asked for the water......it came out in a wine glass, (red flag)!!! We were taken back and seated on a long curvy couch. In front of each section was a little sink filled with hot soapy water. We soaked, and talked, and soaked, and laughed. The spa ladies came back and clipped, and scraped, and rubbed, and finally painted. I decided to go with the French-Tip style. After about an hour of, hmm...heaven, we slipped on our flip-flops and headed to the cash register. So being the smart person I am, I never took the time to ask how much this was going to set me back!! We left the spa light on our feet, and $50 lighter, and that was the least expensive pedicure!!! Oh well, I guess I'm worth it every once in awhile.....right?
