I hope all of you had a Happy Easter!! We sure did!! Saturday we had a ward party consisting of a early morning breakfast, a Easter devotional, and a Easter egg hunt for the kids. The festivities started at 9:00 Saturday morning. During breakfast, a few members of the ward participated in a "Chubby Bunny" competition. For those of you who don't know what that is, you stick big marshmallows in your mouth one at a time, and go until your mouth is so full you can't say "chubby bunny" anymore. My husband just happened to be involved in this particular contest. None of the other contestants had a chance!! It ended with 11 marshmallows!!! He was still speaking pretty clearly, and mentioned he probably could have fit another 9 or 10 more in there!! I love my husband!! I am blown away by all his "hidden" talents!! What a good sport!!
The devotional was wonderful!! It included a slide show set to the music of "Never a better hero", a few wonderful words and scriptures recited, and a beautiful musical number!! The kids were a little restless because the Easter egg hunt was next!! I sat next to Miss K's constant - "Is it almost over, is this the end, when are we going outside? Don't you just love that!!
The Easter egg hunt went off without a hitch. The eggs were snatched up so fast it's as if they were never there!! All in all, Saturday was a great opening to a wonderful Easter weekend.
Sunday was great. The kids were excited to wear their new ties, and skirt to church. After a very spiritual 3 hours, we headed home to rest up for the upcoming dinner. A few families decided to get together for a Easter feast!! We had turkey, ham, a pork roast, funeral potatoes, along with mashed potatoes and gravy. Not to mention the green salad, pasta salad, candied carrots, and rolls!! Then came the best part - we had strawberries and pound cake, served with homemade chocolate!! That's not all - we also had a banana cream pie, a razzleberry pie, and a very "special" chocolate cake!! I wasn't kidding when I said feast!!
After some great food, and great conversation with our "adopted" family, we finally went home full and happy ready to face another day!!

Sounds like you had a great time...Wish we could have been there.
That was so much fun. So much good food. So much "special" chocolate cake.
Glad to be adopted!

P.S. Good thing you left a comment, I couldn't find the link to your blog. By the way, you don't need any help with it at all. Looks awesome!
